Your Stay

We are in the process of funding a multi purpose lodge with commercial kitchen, multiple dry cabins and glamping tents with bath/laundry house, and multiple RV hookup sites.  The homestead will be able to host up to 35 people and 8 RV's  at a time, and will be situated on 60+ acres of unspoiled Montana wilderness.  Abundant wildlife including Grizzly's, Elk and Bald Eagles.  Stage 2 of development on the homestead will include a small herd of Bison. 

New Magdeburg is NOT a quiet retreat center, and the time here can be busy and rather intense.

The daily routine is geared towards a balanced community life of study, work, rest and play, and tons of conversation.  Meals are eaten together, and meal times provide occasion for group discussion.  Bible Studies are supplemented by occasional lectures. 

 

Part of the day is spent working at whatever needs to be done to keep the community going. This involves anything from gardening to animal husbandry to cleaning and cooking. All are expected to take part in work aspects of community life.

 

 In the afternoons or evenings, we may spend some time on rambling walks through the woods or the pastures, stargazing, making s'mores around a bonfire, or taking a trip into the closest town.
