REDEMPTION SPORTS MINISTRY
MISSION
Our mission is to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ to prisoners through athletics and to mentor them towards spiritual maturity as they successfully transition into family and community.

EVANGELISM
Redemption Sports Ministry uses athletics as a means to gain the attention and respect of inmates in order to share the Gospel.
Our teams go into prisons to compete against inmate varsity and All-Star teams.
During half-time at each game one of our players shares his or her testimony and another player presents the Gospel message.
Inmates that are present are given response cards to fill out with the options of:
-
Today I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior
-
I am not ready to make a commitment, but would like more
information about becoming a Christian -
I am already saved.
A space is also provided for prayer requests. These cards are collected by our team and follow-up postcards with the option of enrolling in Redemption Sports Ministry Correspondence Course are mailed to every inmate that completes a response card.
In addition, each year we send birthday cards along with a newsletter designed especially for prisoners to each of the inmates in our database.
HISTORY
In 2003 we started a Colorado soccer team under the Saints Prison Ministry in Philadelphia, PA. The soccer team has played over 200 games in prisons throughout Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, Wyoming, New Mexico, and Texas. Since 2003 we have shared the gospel with over 24,000 inmates!
In 2018 The Saints Prison Ministry decided to make some changes and since we were the only sports team under their ministry west of the Mississippi we both decided it would be best for us to be our own ministry. In 2019 we formally became Redemption Sports Ministry
